Farm & Arts Day Camp
Ages 8-13

FARM & ARTS Day Camp connects children to the wonder and beauty of nature through food, nutrition, farming, and participation in traditional crafts. The sessions are from Monday through Friday, 9:30 to 2:30pm. There are 3-two week sessions, and the camper needs to attend both weeks of the session.

Campers help care for the cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens, and assist in the gardens. Not only do they learn about where food comes from, but they also gain the skills necessary to turn farm-fresh produce into delicious and nutritious meals. Daily craft activities use materials harvested from the land. Swimming, games, and explorations of the fields, forests, and streams of the farm round out each day.

This project has been supported by a grant from the Fund for Columbia County, a fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
