Ordering a Whole or Half hog is a great way to save money over buying individualized cuts, and allows the customer to dictate the cut sheet - what cuts you want, how you want them.

We sell our whole and half hogs by the Hanging Weight (HW). The hanging weight for a whole hog is generally around 200#. Expect to take home about 75% of this weight. This takes up about 4 cubic feet of freezer storage space. Our cuts, processed at a USDA inspected facility, are frozen and cryo-packed, and should store for 1 year unopened in the freezer.

The meat should be available in about 3-4 weeks, although smoked products will take longer.

Available for pickup at the Farm, as well as delivery to:

HALF HOG

 $5.50/#. This includes all the fees associated with slaughter, cutting and packing.

There is a $100 deposit required, with the balance due at pickup or before delivery. If you would prefer to pay by check, please email meatsales@hawthornevalleyfarm.org

Once you sign up, we will email you with a cut sheet and a sample cut sheet as well.
